Board of directors

The Association is governed by a nine member Board of Directors elected from amongst its members. At the Annual General Meeting of 15 October 2013 the following Board of Directors was elected:

  • Chairman:  Vasilios Dovas

Mr. Dovas is the Chief Financial Officer of International Advantage Corporation (IAC), an American corporation, based in Tampa, Florida, which is a business and project development company.In 2004, Greece’s Deputy Minister of Finance appointed him as Chief of Staff, until 2007.  He remained in this role of Chief of Staff for the same Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2007 until October of 2009.He had co-founded ISHYS in 1998, a full-service brokerage firm in which he was the Chief Operating Officer.   He later sold his shares of ISHYS. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in physics from the City University of New York (CUNY).  Additionally, he is an honors graduate of Adelphi University in Long Island, where he earned a Masters in Business Administration 

  • Vice-Chairman:  Evangelos Marneris

Mr. Marneris is presently the Managing Director of AIMS International Hellas S.A. - Executive Search. He was educated in Greece, USA and Canada (MSc Civil Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. MSc, Operations Engineering, University of Michigan, USA. Post MSc, Cybernetics, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada).He held Management positions in the USA and Canada with Procter & Gamble, Stelco, Bell Canada & Northern Telecom S/W Research and he was a Management Consultant for Xerox, CBS, RCA. After returning to Greece, he worked for the Titan Cement Group as a Senior Executive and for Infoplan S.A. as  Managing Director.In 1986 he founded PRIAMOS S.A. - Executive Search, later transformed to AIMS International Hellas S.A., member of AIMS International for Greece.

  • Vice-Chairman:  Theodoros Kessanis

Retired after 32 years in Olympic Airways, after holding various positions in the Marketing Division.Born in Alexandria Egypt he studied Marketing and Human Recourses Management in the U.K. and the U.S.A.  Being also a graduate of Applied Philosophy specialized as a teacher of stress control meditation.Currently he is a Public relations Consultant in the non profit organization Hellenic Touring Club.

  • Secretary:  Nikolas Siaperas

Mr Siaperas is an Attorney at Law. Born in 1975 he studied law in London UK (LLB) and Southampton UK (LLM) and had also modules taught at Nantes Law School (France) and Athens Law School (Greece). He started his diverse professional career in operations of the shipping industry, then to qualify as a Forex Dealer for an Investment House in London. He currently serves as Court of Appeal Attorney, and his field of expertise includes, Commercial- Business law, Corporate and Company law, Civil law, Military law, and Criminal law related to business and corporate practice. He is a member of Athens BAR Association, and member of several non-professional associations, and social clubs.

  • Treasurer:  Perikles Nicolaou

Dr. Perikles Nicolaou is a top-level executive with a career within major international companies / organizations in Greece and the US with local and international industrial operations. He was born in Athens, and has been educated in Greece, USA and UK. In his, diversified, career has worked as research scientist in the US Air Force Research Laboratory, Business Development Manager at S&B Industrial Minerals S.A., Managing Director of Lafarge Beton S.A., and lately as the General Manager at Bibliosynergatiki SA. He has been Non-Executive Director on public, private companies, and in non-profit organizations boards. Dr Nicolaou has authored or co-authored 60 articles in scientific journals, one book and two book chapters.

  • Member:  Angelos Mohloulis

Mr.Mochloulis has a twenty years professional experience within top business companies, activated in different market sectors. He has worked as commercial manager at Texaco SA and country manager for Variopak SA, specialized in the food packaging. The last decade is working for the Italian global leader and provider of olive oil extraction technologies, Gruppo Pieralisi as the CEO of Pieralisi Hellas, with responsibility for business in Greece, Turkey and Middle East. He studied Electrical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and he is member of the board of the Greek-Italian chamber of commerce.

  • Member:  Nina Angellidou

Born in Athens.  She lived in Buenos Aires (Argentina) from 1954 to 2000,  date in which  she returned to her  country.  She worked as a secretary  in  two Argentine companies and  in  the  Greek Embassy  of Buenos Aires. She  translated, into Spanish,   various  Modern  Greek  poets, especially  K. Kavafis,  O. Elytis, Y. Ritsos, K. Dimoula, D. Kalokyris, A. Fostieris,  books that were edited  in Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Mexico and Spain.     In 1988 she received ,  in       Argentina,  the award for Literature Translation for  O. Elytis'   book  "Maria Nefeli".Also she translated into Greek various Modern Spanish poets.  In 2006 she  received, from the Spanish Government, the condecoration Encomienda con Insignia de la Orden del Mérito Civil.

  • Member:  Nikitas Simos

Dr Simos is an independent professional in financial services who was born in Athens and was educated at home and in the UK. He holds a doctorate in Financial Management  from Bath University and he is a member of cultural associations for the support of the Greek language abroad. Dr Simos served as CFO in GSK Pharma Greece and in senior executive positions in international Greek groups  including Commercial Bank and  Titan Cement . With S.E Europe business responsibilities, he has also acted as advisor to the Hellenic Pharma association. He is fluent in Greek, English and French.

  • Member:  Nicholas Stellakis

Mr. Stellakis is Chairman and CEO of Solverine SA, management consultants. He born and educated in London and is a UK Chartered Accountant. He has had a long and diverse career as a former Partner in Ernst and Young, a senior executive with PepsiCo and a CEO of several listed and privately held corporations in Greece. He has lived and worked in the UK, USA, Italy, Greece and Cyprus and has had responsibility for businesses in Russia and the Balkans. He has served as Non-Executive Director on several Boards of both public and private corporations.
